In 1994, he has been employed by SOPRES Group (BISNODE CRM & BI Company), starting working on setting up a spin-off in Morrocco, followed by smartcard projects, using smart phones for home service transactions combined with Proton® e-purse-based (chip card).

Eric spent 2 years in Singapore as Sales Director Asia-Pacific at ACG (Assa Abloy Group) , a independent semi-conductors components reseller for smartcards, by coaching operations of all Asian card manufacturers in this fast growing region.
In 2001, he came back to Belgium and decided to take the challenge as COO to post-integrate 2 recent aquisitions from Zetes Industries, re-organize the way of working on a customer-centric approach in order to perform a large scale national complex ICT project (value: 70 Mios€): "eiD launch & run" and in 2005, started VDM Partners as management consulting company.

After 5 successful years, he decided to become more free-lance and help Actoria Conseil (M&A boutique for SME's transfer) and later EY (Transaction Advisory for belgian SME's). He did as well still some ICT-complex free-lance missions at bpost (bpack 24/7 e-commerce project implementation.)
